I have great news for you. There is a great real club in Cincinnati. It meets twice a month and is not for profit (meaning there aren’t national speakers at the club ALL the time trying to sell books and tapes). There is a lending library and special interest groups that meet between meetings. There is also a non-profit club outside of Dayton. Both clubs are listed on this site.In addition, they will tell you of any seminars passing through town.
More good news. Vena Jones-Cox has a radio show every Wednesday from 5:00-6:00 PM on WVXU-FM. I listen to her on the internet. Try either WVXU.EDU or WVXU.ORG. SHe has lots of good people on the show and the last program of the month is an open mike where callers can ask any real estate question. he is GREAT and you will love her. Good luck.

I am currently reading many of the books that several of you suggested for a start, but I feel a need to have some face to face contact with people who are actually out here in the business.
Does anyone know of any seminars or workshops that are coming to either the Dayton, or Cincinnati areas? I feel that I need a better understanding of contracts, and how to word them. I would also like to meet others who could be possible partners as I go out for my first deal. I need someone who would be willing to hold my hand and walk me safely through the finer details of the necessary transactions.
