I would certainly want to be there when they did the exit inspection. Hopefully you wrote down any damages that were present when you moved in.
You need to speak with the landlord about showing the apartment while your wife is on bed rest. Maybe you can agree with the landlord that he/she only show the apartment when you are present as showing the apartment while she is in bed could be a bad thing for your wife. If you show the landlord that you are willing to work with him/her, that would be best. I hope you have been a good tenant and have a good rapport with the landlord.
