As you work more and learn more in REI you will find there are many many good teachers (famous and not so famous). I also networked with other new people when
I first started, … it also helped to network with experienced people from which I have learned alot. One of them told me… “Your first year, you should attend every club function, lecture and speaker you can… there is a lot to learn.” Good advice.
Here is the most recent club info I have.

web pp - I forgot the URL - sorry
There is also another Miami Club, headed
up by Omar somebody, I have heard the president
does not allow investors to advertise thier
services/houses at his meetings,… never been to
that one myself.
Was looking to find and contact Carleton Sheets’ students in Miami, FL area. Am one myself and was hoping to create a support network if there wasn’t one already.
I have noticed alot of new people in South Florida asking for “Want to help me form a club…” and “are there any other ____ students in my area”.
I would suggest - Don’t reinvent the wheel. I can count - without too much effort -
no less than SIX Real Estate clubs in the tri-county south Florida area, and they are listed under the REI CLUBS link on this site.
I also wrote an article on how REI clubs can help the new investor, it is under the Money Ideas section. Hope you find it helpful. My feeling is you will get farther, faster, if you concentrate on learning to find deals and leave that club-forming work to someone else. And, you will meet great people to help you along the way.

p.s. I am not a club president, I don’t make any money steering you to the clubs. Just thought I would mention that.
Also check www.dreia.com (Dade RE Investors Assn)
Be sure to download the newsletter, has a good listing of active RE clubs on pp2, I think.
Some of the info in the Florida section of the REI links need to be updated. I’ve persistently tried calling them with no success. An example would be the one for Dade county. Just another small glitch in the pursuit of knowledge
Thanks for your input. Believe me, I wasn’t unaware not to have tried that already. I am going to an REIA meeting end of this month. These meetings, however, seem to be just once a month. Moreover, I think it would be good to learn as a team or group. That way, one can accelerate his/her learning process - just like when doing group projects in school.
