I’m a new agent. My question is, is there a set commission rate that I must charge all clients or can I set my own? For example, if I’m representing a family member or a friend and only want to charge a 4 or 3%, will my broker have an issue with that?

  1. Commissions are negotiable.

  2. Your broker is the decision maker, not you.
