Advertising in the yellow pages? - Posted by Jerry-Mi

First, only run an ad in yellow pages after you tested the marketing message in other media like postcards or lower cost display ad in a weekly paper.

Since you can’t afford to “display” a full blown marketing message, you should use a 2-step approach, driving them to a free special report, website or 24 hour recorded message.

Here is my first “metro” yellow page ad:

It began in January. I bought a $207k house for $177k, with sweet terms during forst month. We are getting a good response but the drawback is calls come from a large area. I prefer to focus on certain parts of town to save time and resources.

It costs about $650 a month. I kinda of wished I saved that money for targeted postcards.

And yes, the blue handwritten circle around ad is how it appears in the directory.

Has anyone tried advertising in the yellow pages. I live in Michigan and got price quotes on it but am not sure yet, its a little pricy. Any help is always appreciated.
