A friend of mine did this in Bklyn. You have to “live” in the property. ![]()
Good luck.

4 Unit with Storefront FHA - Posted by Mitch H

Hello board,
I am new to the game and am looking to get my feet wet and I have a question for you. I am looking at a four unit building that has three apartments and a storefront which is being used as a salon. I have the intentions of acquiring the building via an FHA loan. I should be able to do this correct? Thank your for your time.

What about an FHA 203k it says it can be 1-4 unit mixed use? Has anyone worked with this type of loan? Thank you for your thoughts.

Commercial will be the way to go here. Get a commitment of some sort before shelling out the big bucks on that appraisal.

This property would be considered mixed use and would be ineligible for FHA financing. You will need a commercial loan for this property.
