All,

I am a 25-year old young professional who would like to get into real estate investing. I live in Las Vegas, and I will take ownership of my first house in March (it is new and being built). This will most likely be my primary residence.

What I am wondering is what basics I should know. I could always go out and buy and buy and buy, but I want to be able to get good ROI as well obviously. What courses would you recommend? If you were in my shoes and my age what routes would you go? If anyone knows much about the Las Vegas market, what should I look into here?

I appreciate any and all answers. Like I said, I want to start young and amass some equity and wealth.

Thanks,
Bobby

Bobby,

I am also 25 and here is what I have done so far:

Find a good broker who invests in what you want to invest in . Learn from him/her.

Figure out your capacity to carry debt. If you cant do the whole purchase on your own, find a partner.

Learn one approach then expand. I started with HUD repos. I have done my fist two since June.

Get to know some bankers.

Read the posts, articles, and success stories here on CREOnline. This is by far the most useful resource I have found.

Be persistient and stay focused. I takes a lot to get started but gets easier as time goes on.

Good Luck
