Who is The Biggest R/E Guru in the US?

Just google all the guru names that you know with a simple question or two.

How much do you weigh?

How tall are you?

The fattest slob that you can find will probably be the “Biggest”, height will be a plus too.

When you come to a FREE site, and the owner objects to the way, or place to post it would seem to me that common courtesy would be to comply with the instructions. This is not a democracy. You have the same vote as I do, NONE.

A very good question and one that can be appropriate to this form as well as the other. Many gurus are identified and quoted on this form. I would think who is the biggest, by vote of the users, might be appropriate also. I think you should identify by tv video gurus and all others. Generally speaking TV Gurus are probably the best known, but certainly by far may not be the most desirable and effective in giving advice to investors. If you are looking for most proven factual and helpful gurus I would think you should consider Jack Miller, Jimmy Napier, Pete Fortunato and maybe several other old time gurus who have stood the test of time and offer what I would call friendly and effective advice, assistance and follow up that is time tested and proven. There may be others and Bill Brochick seems to possibly fit that mode, but his support of some not so likely like Michele Warren leaves me suspect. I think you may find all the good ones here and in the end you have to make your own judgement, but the info is here and it is up to you.

Why the Biggest and… - Posted by LeasePurchase

Why the Biggest and how do you determine, “Biggest”. Do you mean the one that sells the most Material and Coaching?

In my opinion the “Best” Gurus are the ones you never hear about or sell courses and coaching.

The Best Guru is the one that takes you personally by the hand and walks you through deals at no cost to you but partners with you on deals you bring to the table.

Esentially you become a Bird Dog for a successful investor, not one that sells you a kit with one year of support etc.

Where do you find such a person? Any CRE Club in the Country.

I know Bill Bronchick sells his course in a lot of web sites. He also has books out in the bookstore.

His name is probably not heard of like Russ Whitney or Carleton Sheets. I go to a lot of web sites and usually I see his courses selling there.

Is this a trick question?

Carleton Sheets claims over a million students have bought his course over the past 20+ yrs.

Thank You, I do recall Bill Bronchick info someplace.

Thanks

and by his own admission… - Posted by LeasePurchase

Posted by LeasePurchase on October 12, 2006 at 17:15:47:

only a small percentage of his students have ever bought or negotiated a deal on a property.

The better question may be…

Who’s students are the most successful?

No it is not a trick question. I did not think of Carleton Sheets. He is likely a bit over exposed. I Produce a Real Estate TV show and I am looking for a Guru to work with for a upcomming project I am doing.
Ron Le Grand came to mind but he might be well to exposed. I noticed he was not in his Infomercial from a few years ago he may not like TV. There are so many out there these days.

Who else???

Dan - technically, this forum is for discussing real estate investing topics. There is another forum for discussing RE gurus like Carlton Sheets and others. However, it looks like the reason your requesting this info and the type of info you’re asking about these folks sort of falls into a grey area and MAY be appropriate here.

In any event, here’s another suggestion for Bronchick. Bill, in case you’re not aware, is a RE lawyer who also invests. He’s developed several informational packages that can help investors expand their knowledge in both the investing areas and more importantly in the asset protection arenas. In my mind, because they are written by a practicing RE attorney and investor, it makes them much less “suspect” than many others. I seem to remember that Bronchick has been on one or two other national news shows before also.

So, I don’t know if he’s “the biggest” or not, but he very well may be one of the better ones out there.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

Dan: Jeanne already posted to you that you’ve posted your question on
the wrong forum–she’s one of the website moderators. Newsgroup II
is dedicated to discussion of gurus and educators and you’ll get all
kinds of responses if you post a question as broad as “biggest R/E
guru in the US”. Biggest what??? $$ in course sales? media coverage?
ego?

I don’t agree that it belongs on the other board. And besides he got and continues to get lots of response.

I’m still do not understand why this should be on “the other board”. Were not talking about some gurus specific method. This is a general discussion board isn’t it? Well, were generally discussing gurus.

Here is why the guy is posting to begin with…

“I Produce a Real Estate TV show and I am looking for a Guru to work with for a upcomming project”.

This is not different than you or I posting here to advertise a product or service. The post doesn’t really belong on either forum, for that reason, IMO.
