Only certain mortgages fall into the assumable category. Since I’m new to this, I haven’t memorized those dates yet HOWEVER, you CAN get the property “subject to” which bypasses the assumable problem. The bank can call the loan due but typically doesn’t (at least that’s what I’ve read ;).
Can anyone offer an assumable mortgage? Say if I am talking to a motivated seller and they want out, can I suggest to them that they give me an assumable mortgage?
Or are there only certain mortgages that qualify for this type of deal?
