Only certain mortgages fall into the assumable category. Since I’m new to this, I haven’t memorized those dates yet HOWEVER, you CAN get the property “subject to” which bypasses the assumable problem. The bank can call the loan due but typically doesn’t (at least that’s what I’ve read ;).
