You mean the floor is a concrete slab? A “subfloor” is something which is under the hardwood or plywood on the top surface of the floor. This is for “raised foundation” houses.

I can offer you two approaches here: forget it. Drop it immediately.

Second–learn about this. Talk to experienced investors in your area. Talk to contractors in your area. Talk to experienced real estate people in your area. Then you will know what to do.

My first guess is that they will tell you to forget it. But, maybe in your area this is a common problem and solvable.

After years of procrastinating, I have finally decided to start investing in real estate.

I’ve found an excellent flip or lease option opportunity. It was built in 1995. This place needs carpeting, paint, vinyl flooring and a few cans of disinfectant. There is a concrete subfloor throughout the home that has long half inch wide cracks in almost every room. I know this can be fixed but for what price? And is this a risky purchase?
