go to county tax commissioner offic and look up who is paying the taxes on the property. That is the person to take your “offer” to.

I recently sent a letter to a house that looks unoccupied to see if the owner would be interested in selling. I just got the letter back in the mail yesterday with a stamp on it saying that the house is vacant. Is that good? Or not that big a deal?

How do I find the owner, too?

Jim,
In addition to checking with the county tax assesors office for the name and address of the person paying the taxes, you can also put something on the letter requesting forwarding info.
Check with your local post office about the verbage.
I know I have it written down around here some where, but my office is a mess right now.
