I could be way off here, but it’s possible that some entity in your area has floated a bond, the proceeds of which are to be used to promote home ownership in that area. Most of these subsidies have strings to prevent profiteers from doing what they do, but if you are wanting to purchase your own home, check it out !

I have seen alot of realtor signs with a “Bond Money Availible” sign added to the top. What does this mean and would it benefit a newbie investor?

Around FL, bond money is used by local governments in order to give low interest loans to first time buyers. It is only available when bonds are issued, and when it gets all used up the gov’t has to sell more bonds. Otherwise there is no money available.
