For the past 4 months, I have been eyeing an vacant home perfect for renting, that had a paper taped to the window that said it was repossessed by the VA and DO NOT call to try to purchase the home.
Today a VA For Sale sign went up in the yard. There is no phone number on it, just “Call broker”. I looked all thru the phone book, Veterans…,Housing, Realtors, Brokers, where do I find this broker?

In my area of the country, VA listings are put in the MLS and are available to any realtor with access to the MLS. If you want to make an offer, the realtor will help you prepare the VA bids forms and submit them through a broker registered with the VA The real estate section of my local paper always has a few box ads from realtors who say they specialize in Government, VA, HUD properties.
I will assume that the process is similar in your area. Just call your favorite realty office and ask for their government foreclosure specialist. That may be all you need to do to get started.
