Ed,

Thanks for remembering, I’m a veteran of the Persian Gulf War, I am relatively young (28) and “getting my feet wet” in REI, so far so good. I have a quick question for you. I am very motivated and I handle rejection with a smile and find ways to “make things work” what I want to ask is when in your experience you got into a “lull” what did you do to get yourself back on course, and fully focused. I can get back on course but sometimes it takes a long weekend and alot of thought. I love this business and want logevity, any suggestions? HERE’S TO YOUR SUCCESS!!!

Respectively,

Today’s “Thought for the day” is to recognize one of the people who allow YOU to be Who you are, WHAT you are, and the FREEDOM to do what you want to do.

Remember November 11th is Veterans Day

“It is the soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier,
Who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.”
