I believe a subsisting lien would be a subordinate lien.

A court entered its judgment entry as follows: Decree of Forclosure in favor of the Bank against Defendant upon the promissory notes and guaranties and found the mortgages of the bank to be valid and subsisting liens upon the the real property, and ordered the real property be sold by the sheriff. Question: Will the lien continue to be valid against the property or be extinguished after the sheriff sale? What exactly is a “subsisting” lien? Thank You
