Good evening, all!! I’ve been toying with the idea of becoming a REI for about a year. Have bought CS program and started attending some meetings of the local REI groups - I’m fortunate to live in an area where we have two active groups. I’ve been in bankruptcy for about 3.5 years and have another year or so to go making my payments, etc… Is it possible for me to start actively investing? Any pointers on what steps I need to take, etc…? I haven’t spoken to my bankruptcy attorney since the beginning of the case and would prefer not to, as I do not feel she adequately represented MY interests. Has anyone else been through this? Would really appreciate input. Thanks.

Why Wait? You can begin anytime. Don’t let the bankruptcy hold you back. I started while my bankruptcy was still on record. Real estate investing is such a versitile area you could start by flipping fixer up properties to other investors, get some cash build up and then start purchasing properties to hold for rentals. The main thing is, start now. If you need more info, just e-mail me.
