“It’s just too comfortable to NOT change.”

Yes, the upside to discomfort :o) - motivation!

“I would definately find which area you want to focus in RE.”

I am new enough, this is hard, yet, but reading and reading on this site, I have found flipping notes a la Steve Cook and also the post on old roadside motels very appealing as ideas… salvaging old homes and buildings through new ideas and creativity as a by-product of making money really motivates me.

“you have to learn “financing sources” to be successful in real estate.”

Indeed, and I am realizing there’s a whole lot out there I had no clue about. What resource can you recommend for helping with this, besides the evidence if I lurk here onsite, I can learn an incredible amount :o)

thank you,Houserookie

Hi All,

I have been reading this list and looking around the realty in my area and determining my own goals and interests and have decided I need to pursue learning more about investing creatively in RE. This feels right for me.

I am pursuaded many of the books and courses available on this site are need-to-haves, but which one would you recommend as the FIRST to introduce me fastest to the terms and concepts discussed so knowledgeably here? I’d like to know how to get the foundation to build from there in learning.

thanks,

Blondie

Hi Blonde,

You’re right!!! If you want to change your life,
you have to CHANGE your life. As simple as this
may sound, MOST people hate to change. It’s just
too comfortable to NOT change.

Okay, as for your first step, I would definately
find which area you want to focus in RE. YOu may
want to read the money making ideas, and success
stories on this site to find your flavor.

Once that flavor is found it’s a heck lot easier
to find which book or course to purchase.

I am also a firm believer in that you have to
learn “financing sources” to be successful in
real estate.

I hope this helps…
