Get an experienced real estate attorney involved ASAP!!!
Unless there is a provision in the purchase contract that states otherwise, you can compel the sellers to complete the transaction. You could probably also sue for any damages.
You may have another issue regarding the sale of your home as those buyers may be able to seek the same remedies against you.

My home was in escrow at the same time the house we were buying was in escrow. Therefore we sold my house to buy another. Escrows were set to close 2 days apart. Mine first to fund the house we were buying. The women buying my house funded June 28th in the AM, my house was set to fund June 28th afternoon, therefore funding the buying house that afternoon also. On the AM of June the 28th the seller of the house we were buying set a Cancellation of escrow with no explaination! In shock we wanted to know why as our house was sold and we had no were to go now. When we asked the agent that was selling the home we were buying she said Time is of the Essances, that didn’t make sense as the funding was all coming in. She couldn’t give any other explaination! We quickly cancelled out escrow leaving the buyer of our home out of the street now. What a mess. We filled a Lis Pendens the following Tuesday. We have not received any responds or explaination as of yet. We are over a week now from this mess, and still want this house! We are sure at this point there is another buyer on the property and he offered more than what we were in escrow for. What do we do at this point? It’s been so quit that I think they are ignoring our letters and demands to perform under the contract signed. Please advise, we are at a lose at this point!
