If I purchase a note (at a discount) secured by real estate with my SDIRA and then later in the future decide to purchase the real estate individually does that create a self dealing issue ? I am pretty sure I wouldn’t be allowed to purchase that real estate by assuming the note held by the IRA but I am curious if purchasing the RE via new financing would be a self-dealing issue as I am individually generating the trasnaction to pay off the existing note held in the IRA.
