While it might not be mandatory, why take any chances?

Disclose everything possible so the seller has nothing he can complain about.

It is mandatory to inform the seller that you (the salesperson) are interested in purchasing the property and that you are a licensed salesperson.

But is it “mandatory” to inform the seller that the interested buyer is your family member (father, uncle, and etc.)? Is it illegal to not inform the seller?

Thank you in advance.

I appreciate the responses. Makes perfect sense.

It’s mandatory in California, you could lose your license. Also if your a member of the National Association of Realtors you have a ethical obligation to do so.

What is the big deal, agents represent family all the time, it is something most sellers would not even question unless your the listing agent, is that what your really asking?
