Your internet business may best be run through an S Corporation to control SE Tax. If you are going to own real estate to rent, most likely you should own it through an LLC. Generally, it is advised to keep each business in it’s own entity.
Hope this helps.
Quick question on LLC - Posted by Dan

Hello,
I found creonline.com just a couple of days ago and am fascinated with the articles here. I’ve never done a real estate deal and still have to study for several more months before I think about doing so.
However (and this pertains to my question). I have an LLC that I use to run an internet business. This business is great in that it mostly runs itself, leaving me time to pursue other things (like real estate!)
My question is: if I begin to dabble in real estate, could I operate my business under my LLC already formed for my internet marketing company or would I have to form another one to be used separately for any real estate deals I might do?
Thanks very much,
Dan
