My county sends annual tax notices to the homeowners advising them how much the tax assessments will be for the year. There is a number we can call if we disagree with the assessment. You should be able to contact your tax assessors office and submit a reason as to why you believe your tax assessment is incorrect.
I have a quick question. I own a few single family homes and I believe the property tax is to high according to the neighborhoods. For the year 2004 I believe the assessor?s office might have assessed my homes to high and I paid more tax than I should have . Is there any way I can get it reduced or what should I do so this doesn?t happen in 2005.Thanks in advance for helping.
