Profit in park that's closing? - Posted by lee

We should talk. I am looking to sell my 1970’s Hillcrest in-park mobile home. The kitchen is large and has a built in dishwasher and pantry plus hand made cabinets and bar/island. All of the rooms have been drywalled. The second bedroom was made into a den. It also comes with an 8x12 deck that I would be willing to throw in for free if you dismantle. All I ask in return is that you pay me enough to pay off the loan. It would be less than $6,000 and I would be willing to help with the moving costs.

As a novice I’m looking at taking on the dismantling of a mobile home park. I’d be selling units from the 1960’s and 1970’s.

I’m thinking of offering for sale a dozen or more of the better mobile homes for ~$1000/$2000 for single/double wides, requiring the buyers to come and get them (after we prepare them for moving)? We may also offer to move them for
a reasonable charge.

I’d also need prospectives buyers for parts from dozens of older trailers: aluminum sleeved window awnings, carports, utility rooms, windows, blocks, etc.

With good advertising do you think there’s a market for these items?
