I would call ahead and try to set up a meeting. Promise to only take a certain amount of time and then get out of there. Send a warm thank you card after. I would be more ‘smart and friendly’ than ‘business like.’ Some will be really nice and some will NOT. (I sent you an email about a real meanie!) If they are smart enough to see that you could really help them, you’ll be in. If they aren’t smart enough to see it, then you want to move on anyway.

Hi everybody!
Lucky as I am to have the weekdays off, I am noticing a distinct lack of PM’s around at this time. I have been reading your posts for several months and just recently have been given the chance to go at this business full throttle. However, being a ‘newbie’ I am finding it hard to build liaisons with people who aren’t there. Do you guys find that PMs are around more on the weekends?
Please advise, as I am finding this aspect of things VERY frustrating.
BTW, your posts have been invaluable to my learning and in getting me off my a** and out there.
