ran into a district justice last year in Pa. who said “I don’t care what the law says in my court you must always give 30 day notice.”

Pennsylvania Landlord Tenant Laws - Posted by Dave

Hi all,

Putting a property under lease with option and I have two very specific questions so I can modify my lease accordingly.

In Pennsylvania can a landlord:

  1. Have in the lease where the tenant waives the right of 30 days to vacate property (lease would set up notification method and period, and would set up timeframe for tenant to vacate, etc)?

  2. Have in the lease where tenant waives the right to appeal?

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,
In Pa you can have the tenant wave there right to notice. I have this in all my leases.
