Nope, he’s wrong. Any employee or officer of a corp or LLC can represent that corp/LLC in most any business endeavor, without being licensed to do anything.

In fact, it’s even broader than that, because there are a number of BIG companies whose employees are engaged in the promotion and sale of their company’s properties…and they, like you, are just working as employees of their companies, not for commissions.

e.g., various divisions of Weyerhauser, Simpson Timber, Louisiana Pacific, etc., sell building lots and subdivisions and are quite normally represented by their own people, who do that for their entire careers with those companies. Ordinarily extremely capably, with their never having a RE license or needing one.

Hi - maybe you can help me with this. We had the real estate agent from - well, you know where - show up at a showing for a property that we are flipping. He said that we could be charged with practicing real estate without a liscence, because we are operating on behalf of our corporation, not ourselves. Is this true? It sounds rather stupid, but I guess that I don’t know for sure. This is only our second flip. We live in Wisconsin, if it makes any difference. Thanks!
