No, Nevada law has not changed regarding asset protection for LLCs. Last July the state (under pressure from federal authorities) changed the privacy provisions of Nevada Law. Now, if there is a criminal investigation into a Nevada LLC or corporation, the State can require the resident agent to provide the name and address of an individual who can identify the entity’s owners. While there is a small loss of privacy here, remember that this really applies to bad people engaged in criminal conduct. If you are on the up and up, this will not affect you. While Nevada is the first state to do this expect this law to spread across the USA.
