Military security level and mortgage problem - Posted by Kevin

I have a potential customer who is trying to sell their property, traditionally, but in this market…good luck!!
I tried to talk to them about lease option and subject to but NO WAY. For some reason, having a mortgage in his name with the level of military security he has offers some kind of problem. Could putting the house in trust be the answer since it’s not likely they’ll have the house sold anytime soon. Asking price is close to what’s owed…

Not a legal opinion but some street level advice.

Anytime someone openly discloses some secret security type concern you should see red flags. Again, not a legal opinion and I may be wrong.

Typically anyone with legal reasons for concealing their identity do so and do not tell you nor would a public document (such as a sale would create) put that identity in jeopardy.

Undercover law enforcement etc. included. They will have addressed that problem already and not disclosed it to you.

Typcially (but again perhaps not always) when someone openly playing secret spy with you they are frauds, thieves, wanted felons or people trying to hide something.
