I am thoroughly fed up with Merwin Coad and the ADA. After being talked into joining the program by Amy Keith and parting with $6,995.00, I then had a change of heart and decided that I no longer wanted to participate and have, since then, been trying unsuccessfully to get my money back. Their tactic, in dealing with a situation like this, appears to be to ignore you and never return your calls or eMails, hoping I guess that you will eventually give up and just go away. Well I cannot afford to walk away from seven thousand dollars and so I do not intend to give up. However, it is very frustrating to be constantly trying to get through to a human being and to speak about the problem. Instead, I am being fobbed off by answering services that never return your calls, or leaving messages that never get answered or sending eMails that are not replied to. As I made the election not to continue with the program within a couple of days of joining and have not signed any agreements, I feel that I am entitled to the refund requested and I would very much appreciate hearing from anyone who can suggest how I should proceed to resolve this problem.
I did purchase this program in 9/29/07 and I am trying to get in contact with this organization and not able to find an address or phone number. I paid over $5,000 and not abel to find the guys. If anyone has any further information please forward it to me. Thank you.
It should be known by all that the posts on this board are, on the whole, unreliable!
For example, Jason, JoAnne, and Anna are all pseudonyms used by Jim Billger (assuming that is even his real name)! This is the same guy that asserts that many of the positive posts may have been placed by shills for Merwin Coad. His suspicion is naturally a result of the fact that he, himself, has repeatedly posted under fake names!
Additionally, his posts (regardless of what names he posted under) are full of misstatements, misrepresentations and even outright lies!
I urge the moderator of this forum to institute some process to prevent such posts from happening. Jim Billger obviously has some ax to grind. This forum should not allow him (or anyone else) to abuse the readers and a legitimate, honest and valuable program, by offering him the opportunity to post using as many false names as he likes and then postings lies and bad information that may well stop sincere people from accessing a program that might well have changed their lives and afforded them a real path to financial
Jim, (Jason, JoAnne, Anaa and whatever other names you have used) you should be ashamed and you should be stopped.

Joanna,
Merwin is the real thing! I know this because I bought the program and have received everything promised and then some. My experience with Merwin is that he represents the ideal mentor. Maybe that’s because he spent a large portion of his life in public service (ministry, state government, U.S. Congress) and has extensive real estate experience.
The program’s primary differences are that I have NEVER had to use a penny of my own money (and I’ve done several deals and made great money) unlike the “no money down” programs and that Merwin IS the mentor. I don’t think Robert Allen, Carlton Sheets etc. do the mentoring personally.
There are certainly people that don’t need a mentor (although a lot of the posts in this forum are about peoples horror stories that might have been avoided with the right mentor) but for people that do better with the guidance of a mentor, Merwin is perfect!
Thanks for the info, I am going to search the archives right now. Here is Merwin Coads website. americandreamalliance.com or adajc.com Thanks again for very uselful information for a beginner. Gale

I want out of this deal with American Dream Alliance. I saw an attorney in Mich. and he claims that I can’t bring a law suit because I signed over the internet and they have my signature to comply with the terms of the contract. I spoke with Merwin and he swears that the company will not refund my $11,000 spent on my credit card. I feel like a fool for trusting them and agreeing to that middle level money bracket. Now when I call the company the phone number has been changed and no new phone number given out and I’m paying a credit card fee of $172.00 per month and have not turn not 1 real estate profit or deal. Please somebody help! Can we all bring a class action lawsuit against Merwin Coad or the company?

American Dream Alliance resolved our situation and refunded our $6995.00. They are checking into their customer service area to hopefully get better customer service. Thanks

Hi Carol and Scott,
This morning I signed up with Merwin Coad’s Mentoring program for real estate investing and I wanted to know what are your experiences since you signed up for his mentoring program.
I am a bit uncomfortable that his website has not been updated for over three years now and that I do not see any contact information for him or his organization also worries me.
If you have any information on the location or experiences on the program or its practices I would appreciate it.

It has been a long term goal of mine to make extra money on the side of regular job through real estate.
I searched on line and attended a free seminar in Michigan in 2007 at a hotel about making money through real estate. I explore the internet in hope of searching for a mentor or mentoring program to help me start making money through real estate. I found the American Dream Alliance online and called them up. I spoke with a represenative for the company and he gurantee that I would be able to make money in the field of real estate. I spoke to him for 20 minutes on a 1-800 phone line. He explained everything to me over the phone how the company works. It sounded very legitimate. Then he said that we have 3 level to sign up at in terms of cost for the program. Level 1 cost between $4,000-$5,000. Level 2 cost about $10,000 and level 3 cost about $20,000. I signed up for $10,000 on my credit card. I’m so sorry I signed up with the program because my mentor and I did not get along. I called the company back and tried to change my mentor and then they assigned me to Merwin Coad. Merwin Coad sent me this booklet with CD’s on how to make money through real estate deals. I still did not really understand all that he was talking about in his booklet with the CD’s well enough to make money nor did have the time to really put into. The company rep. told me that all I had to do is donate only 15 minutes a week to the program and talking with my mentor in order to make money, but that is a lie. Then I started getting sick with high blood pressure and had anemia problems that made me really feel tired. I wanted out of the program and I want my money back. The company supervisor or manager and Merwin Coad both told me that I could not get my money back because I sign the agreement on line and it is a binding contract. The company manager said the only thing they would do for me is to postpone my time in terms of giving me 1 extra year to make money through their program with their assistance from the mentor coach and the books and CD’s until I could regain my health again and feel better to proceed with the program. However, my spirit was still not in it because now I have to pay the $10,000 off my credit card each month. I have to pay each month $172.00 and the interest is still adding up on the $10,000 that I charged. I saw an attorney and he said that it’s nothing that they can really do because I signed on line and it is not a fraud company. I complained so much to the company that they just stop returning my phone calls messages and soon changed their phone number. Now, I don’t know where they are located in the U.S. and I don’t have a number to call them. Merwin will not give me their number even though he knows it. Merwin just keeps telling me not to worry about it. Merwin kept telling me that he could help me make money deals in the real estate market and the money that I receive from real estate I could soon pay off the $10,000 debt. Well, I told Merwin Coad that I would contact him back in the summer of 2008 because I have some health problems and that I’m working sick. I also, told him the winters are very hard on me in Michigan because the temperatures get really cold. I told him that the summers would be better for me to do business if I were to pursue it. Merwin told me to keep his number and that he would help me when ever I get better in terms of my health. Well, guess what I tried to call him in September 5, 2008 and the toll free 1-800 phone number that I had for him is no longer working and has my E-mail address. He did not call and update me with his new phone number. I tried to E-mail him and he has changed his E-mail address information too according to post master on the website for my e-mail service. I feel so bad that I trusted this company to do business with. I don’t want to make money through real estate now, I just want my money back. I’m sick and heart broken. Can somebody who knows an attorney in their family email me as to some legal advice to retrieve some or all of my money back? If so email me at my address. I hate this company and will never do this ever again in life. I learned my lesson.
