I’m getting ready to enter the real estate business. What I plan on doing is to buy houses through seller financing and then sell them to new buyers and carry the note. I’m looking for any books I can find that would help me.

I’m trying to understand these two issues so that I can assess the risk in carrying a note:

  1. I want to learn the way that a bank, mortgage company, investor, etc. would asses the risk of a payor.

  2. I’d like to understand the foreclosure process better so that i’m prepared if it does happen and so that I can make sure that the returns are worth the risk.

Does anybody have any reccomendations?
