How does one prove that someone with a life estate is committing waste in the state of Indiana? My stepfather has a life estate with myself as the remainderman. The property taxes are falling behind and the property is in ill repair. He has the money to take care of the property but refuses to do anything about it. We have spoken about this before and it does no good to talk with him. Any advice that you could give would be great.
