Although I have a few properties, I consider myself pretty much a newbie to CREI. In my learnings, I see so many posts about leads and what works for some might not work for others, etc, etc, etc. Also we read location, location , location. Anyway, this is a benefit for me as well but I was wondering if everyone (newbies and GURUs) could brainstorm and attempt an exhaustive lists of ways to find properties. Additionally note how you use those sources for leads. Maybe this could be a learning opportunity for everyone and some might say, “I never thought of that.” For those interested—give it your best shot. For the experienced you might note which has worked for you. I’ll start.
- Bandit Signs
- Ads in paper (I buy homes)
- Divorce listings
- Foreclosure listings
- Realtors
- Title companies
- Brokers—ask for their dead leads for refis
- Mailpersons–they know who might be falling behind in debt
- Gas/phone company–“meter reader” who shuts off the gas/phone
- Courthouse for liens filed
- Auctions
- Probate attorneys
- Friends/relatives of yours who know what you do (CREI)
- Driving for vacant homes
- Calling FOR RENT signs and asking the landlord about selling this property or others they own
- Letters/postcards to #3 and #4
