I don’t know why a tenant/buyer would even think of improving property before they own it, but what do I know?

I have no experience with lease options, but I would never let anyone make major improvements to the property while I owned it. Everybody thinks they’re a contractor. Someone could get hurt. They could do a crappy job that you would have to undo. I just wouldn’t do it.

Would you allow a tenant/buyer on a lo do any significant renovation. A tenant/buyer I am considering wants to do a lo but only if they can add on to the bedroom.
