I’ve scoured and searched Minnesota Statutes online and cannot find any reference to Land Trusts (or title-holding, or nominee Trusts) as they are used by RE investors. They are used by neighborhood ass’ns for creating affordable housing, which seems to be a different context altogether. Even if I could find an attorney who knows about them (and I cannot), would it be advisable to create a Land Trust where it isn’t legally defined? Thanks.
