You should put this question directly to Bill Bronchik, his email address being found in his posts on this forum and the general forum.
The only trust article of his I’ve read was really aimed at TX law, which I also know very well, so I can vouch for his knowledge of that. WI law I know not at all, so couldn’t speak about that; however much of Trust law is derived from English Common Law, which is the basis for most of U.S. law, save some of the Mexican and French inheritors, like LA, maybe another one or two. Even TX, with its mixed heritage of French, Spanish, and Mexican law, has most of its legal heritage grounded in English Common Law.

When buying a house for investment purposes I was told to always buy it in a land trust name not your personal name
As I have been searching to find how to form a land trust I am finding no info on this … Hoping someone can help me with the legalities and what I need to do to form a land trust in Massachusettes… Thanks for your time

Butch,
The “land trust” is called a “nominee trust” in Massachusetts a search of Mass general laws will reveal the legalities with a general search for “trusts”. Have an attorney work on this with you as its not as simple as the “land trust”

From the excerpts I’ve read, I’ll tell you from my legal background and experience and knowledge of TX Trusts, Bill Bronchik knows what he’s talking about. He’s obviously burned some midnight oil and done some extensive homework on the topic.
His course is something I’d want to have before doing any trust-ing in TX unless you are a lawyer and familiar with TX RE in trusts, etc.
And no, I’m not getting anything from Bronchik for my recco. I’ll weasel a cuppa Starbucks outa the guy sometime down the road maybe, but I’m serious about what I say here.
