Ask your insurance agent; generally yes insurance companies (like mortgage lenders) have a real affliction for properties titled in the name of the legal entity, better to use a trust.

Has anyone ever any problems getting a policy for a home that is titled to a corporation? Is there a higher rate?

I use State Farm for insurance on my rentals held in an LLC. I don’t know for sure, but I don’t believe the rate is higher.
