That is the local REI club here in Hampton Roads.

You are going to find that the market is VERY competitive. It will be hard to find a mentor since deals are difficult to locate. Meet some people at the next meeting and see if you can find an investor willing to show you the ropes if you do some legwork for him.

What’s your talent? I would be willing to pay a minimum of $1000 if you found me a good deal. The problem is that the good deals are so hard to find.

Maybe try your hand at pre-foreclosures. Knock on a few doors and get some practice talking to people. If you run into one where you think the numbers might work, let me know.

By the way, the ads didn’t work. Too many other people advertising I guess.
