Husband & wife multi-member LLC? - Posted by patsears

Hello,
I was wondering if a husband and wife rental business set up as a multi-member LLC would get the charging order protection that seems to be dissapearing from single-owner LLC’s. If so, how effective has it been in court? If my wife does’nt want to get involved, do I have any other options to protect my fledgling single-member LLC rental business?
Thanks!

What I have read and heard is that a husband and wife is considered one in almost all cases. I’d say get another …non-family…member for a small percentage of the deal.
