Agreed, in a buyers market the 5 day plan is a dud more often than not… unless you can safely put the price up VERY LOW, and accept that as the sales price to start with.
IN a hot market, you will cause a feeding frenzy.
It is clear the author of the book on this, never dealth with an area where its been a buyers market for 20+ years.

Has anyone here read Bill Effros book “How to Sell Your Home in 5 Days” and sold their home by auctioning it off?
Just wondering because my homes listing expires the end of this month and think I will give it a try…
Any responses from people who have tried this would be nice!

A lot depends on your local market. In a buyer’s market you may not have enough buyers show up at an auction, even if you start low. In a seller’s market you can definitely start a frenzy.
