Did any one have experience dealing with appraisers to find out foreclosure leads ?
Is this a good source to find foreclosure leads ?
How would you normally deal with appraiser if he gives you a lead and how the profit sharing goes when you really cut a deal with the lead ?
Thanks for any info …

I am an appraiser. We are bound by confidentiality requirements to our clients that will prevent us in most cases from sharing information related to potential foreclosures

I can tell you that leads from appraisers will be very few if any. I have been an appraiser for 15 yrs and an investor for 7. I have performed probably 25 appraisals for REO houses in all those years. And most of those banks are already dealing with a Realtor. Even if I had a lead, givng out my clients name and phone number to an investor will likely not make the lender client like me more (and thus give me more business), thus I probably wouldn’t give it out.
To sum this up… I have never heard or been involved in this type arrangement between appraiser and investor. But if you can make it work - more power to you.
