You will need to reestablish credit. Providian, capital one, target, walmart…these are cards you can get a pproved for eve with bad credit. You will need to work that score back up to a 580 for 100% financing. Job gap may be OK if you were laid off. Loans can be done 1 day out of a BK discharge if and only if the credit score is there and there is reestablished credit.

I would like to purchase a home. Here’s a little background: recently divorced, recently bankrupt(7) and I have little/no cash. I am gainfully employed. Last year I made $75k, lost my job (thats where the divorce and the BK come in) I will make $60K this year.
I am desperate and am open to any scenario. Please Help!!!

Whats your credit score? Have you re-established credit? How long were you out of work for when you lost your job? Why did you lose your job? Is your bankruptcy discharged, if so, when? Where are you located? These are only a few of the answers we would need.

My credit scores are very low 500’s. I have done nothing yet to re-establish my credit, and don’t really know what I can do. I was out of work 90 days before I found a much lower paying job, although, it looks like I am going to get a promotion soon. My bk was recently discharged. I live in the Rochester NY area. Let me know if you need more details. Thanks!
