This isn’t advice for the mediation, although on that I’d get statements from neighbors and the contractor supporting your side! My real advice is ORGANIZE YOUR NEIGHBORS AND SOME OF YOU RUN FOR THE BOARD. I once took over a board in a 2100 home subdivision with about 6 of us organized and 15 votes in each of our pockets, it made a huge difference in the subdivision, but I wouldn’t want to do it again.

I hope you can give me some advice. We are to go to mediation in FL against our HOA. They are claiming that we painted our house without getting our paint approved, when we didn’t paint it. We had painted it 3 and 8 yrs earlier with approved paint. I can’t prove we didn’t paint it when they claim. We did have the roof redone and the trim that was replaced was needing painting. They mention that the trim “is not painted.” We had started to paint the part of the trim that wasn’t painted when we realized they were accusing us of painting the entire house.
Our HOA is truly corrupt. They continuously accuse us and our neighbors of things that are not happening.

Any advice on going to mediation? We’re not sure if it’s fair or what to expect.
