I have found quite a few properties that have more back taxes owed than they are worth. AT the very best they are break even deals. I would have to pay off all the taxes to get possession and take title right? What would I have to have the owner of record sign, if it has not been deeded back to the city, state yet?
The next step if someone like me does not get them, is the sherriff sale right?
Then if I could find one that the numbers worked on I could try to do a little pre-rehab to make a few bucks. I am only interested in the one that are not in war zones.
Has anyone tried to do any rehab with these good old solid buildings using city, state, federal programs to provide the funds to improve housing in the city, or renasance zones? Or private investors?
