If you’re really serious about starting, find a way to generate the money. A second job, overtime on the regular job, or something. Until you get the money, the library usually has a few books on investing in real estate. Also, check the archives here. There’s plenty of advice and info.

Also once you have followed the two post above. Search the archive on New Group 1, the main news group, for any topic you have found an interest in. You will be amazed at the amount of information you can get for free here.
