My guess is, for personal tax lien it’s still your debt just not against that property now, they will probably file again someday, if it was a property tax lien it will stay with property, never heard of a state dismissing property taxes

If a house in NJ is sold at forclosure ( mortgage forclosure ), and a NJ State Tax lein wasn’t paid, does it revert to me personally or does it get dismissed?
