Found out through an another uncle who once before bailed the his brother out of this situation. Now I just found out that he is the one who drove up the price of the property in auction. Yeah talked to an attorney already. And have been in communication with the forclosing attorney also. no proper notification was given. Thanks for the feed back

STORY- My wife’s father passed years ago leaving her land (acres infact) in NC. His brother (her uncle) built a home on the land and used the land as colaterall. Now it is in forclosure and going up for auction in two weeks. We found out three days ago. We have some equity in our home we was going to invest in preconstuction.
Q: Should we let the land go? If not what are the steps we can take if it is even worth it…who do we go to?
OH other family members own parts also but aren’t stepping foward…but when we buy to then sell guess who’s a knocking…

I am not an attorney. You should find one ASAP.
How did you find out about the foreclosure?
If you have an interest in this property, the foreclosing lender (or their attorney) was required to notify you of the foreclosure action. Did they notify you properly?
If not, get your attorney involved. At the least, you should be able to delay the sale so you have some time to consider all of your options.
