Probably not. But you probably will owe a commission if he brings you a ready, willing and able buyer at listing price.

If I sign up with a Realtor as an exclusive agent, and at a particular listing price, do I have to accept an offer made at the listing price?

Um…Seller probably has to sell - Posted by John Merchant

The issue here isn’t really your having listed the prooperty with a RE Agent.

Your having made an offer, in writing, on MLS or otherwise in writing (via your REA), if accepted in writing, I’m thinking would subject you to having to sell at that price and on the terms offered, if a written and signed acceptance was submitted to your REA or you.

Many a Seller, deciding not to sell as he’s previously agreed to, has been nailed and required by a court to go ahead and sell…and pay court costs, attorney fees, damages, etc. for his having balked and refused to sell as he said he would.

So if it’s not too late, tell your agent in writing, to change the price NOW, before such a written/signed offer does come in and force you to sell at a lower price than you want.
