In my mind it is the extreme mortgaging (even if just on paper) or the gifting (for example to a trust) of any remaining equity in a property that could be threatened by a lawsuit.

Hello All, I think I have spent an approximate 3 months finding the proper legal name of what I wanted to accomplish. It goes by Equity Stripping and Equity Reduction Plans and I would like to know more about how to set up such a plan.

Hmmm…almost everything I hear something about equity stripping and/or reduction plans, it’s in reference to criminal activity. I’m sure this isn’t what you have in mind. Could you elaborate a little more on what you’re trying to accomplish?
