I feel that for atleast the initial setup / year’s filing having professionals on board is worth while.

I have a CPA. I haven’t needed a tax atty, but my atty is also a CPA so he knows most of the tax stuff.

Does anyone have any good resources (books, websites, articles) on tax deductions for investors. I own 3 homes (primary, secondary, and rental) and am trying to get my tax paperwork in order. Although I own 3 properties (as of 6/04) I consider myself a newbie. Would you advise hiring a tax attorney or tax professional to file for me or do you think I can do it on my own?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The IRS has excellent resources. They have numbered publications that tell you exactly what expenses are deductable for your primary residence, your second home, and for your rental property.
