does anyone have a letter.......... - Posted by paula

do you know what the best thing that this site has to offer is mike? its the fact that when it appears you are in over your head or you are going about things in a manner that is less than desireable, someone is there to step right in and bluntly tell you the truth, with out sugarcoating it and without the touchy-feely buzzwords.
if i was an “almighty investor god” it is extremely unlikely i would be posting at all.
if you find that offensive than i cannot help that.
the real value in a message board like this fine one is when you generate your own ideas and post them for opinions. you learn the most when someone comes along and gives you objective feedback, many times criticisms of your ideas. those who can take critical critiques and use them as a learning source will no doubt enjoy success.
those who want to hear nothing but positives even when a criticism is warranted will no doubt spend there lives swimming in the pool with average people.
i find it funny that you are criticizing my response and not she. perhaps she gets it a little more than you.

Hey Paula,
Brian is right, and I will tell you why. He came to this site not too long ago and has since then left most of us in the dust. You have to have this attitude in this business, no one will hold your hand. You can be helped by one of us sending you this documentation, but if you can get to the point of writing it yourself and pitching it to lenders/investors yourself, then and only then you’ve got it going on.
Good luck,
Adam

i am not trying to sound to negative here…but if you don’t understand the private lending well enought to come up with the simple solicitation letter, than how are you going to be able to explain it to your private investors when and if you meet them.
and do you truly understand private lending enough to be soliciting these funds?

All she asking is for a copy of a letter toget some ideas from. You dont have to be smug and give a lecture. If you guys think of youself as the almighty investor gods may be you shouldn’t be on this site answering ANY post.
Have a good day!
